Sunday 11 January 2015: Cantare Reunited!
Former members of Sidcot School Cantare, Crotchetts and Sidcot Belles reunited on Sunday 11 January 2015 for a day of singing, laughing and shared memories with Sidcot's favourite singing superstar Bev King! Four hours of singing culminated in a concert for friends and family in the Baily Concert Hall in the Arts Centre - a first for some of the Sidcotians who had not seen the new building development. The group even recorded a few of their pieces during the day - watch this space for a link so you can listen on-line.
Leila Addyman (2010-2014) said she was "glad to know I am still part of the family".
Saturday 28th June 2014: Combe Boy Reunion - and goodbye Mr Bateman!
This Summer, Chris and Janice Bateman left Sidcot School and their roles as teachers and houseparents of Combe House to embark on a worldwide adventure that will see them travelling from France to Florida, New Zealand, Tasmania, Australia and Canada. More than 80 former Combe Boys and students who were taught by Chris or Janice attended a BBQ and reunion at Combe House to say farewell. Don't wait until teachers retire, if you'd like to arrange a reunion please email email@example.com or call 01934 845254 for details.
Class of 1971-78 Reunion
"Memories from 40 years ago were blended with updates since previous reunions. For many of us the gathering was also a poignant reminder of time passing, as we fondly remembered friends and loved ones who were no longer with us. Here was the real proof of how important those precious and formative 7 years together had been (in case anyone still wondered). A rich mixture of laughter, quiet recollection, guilt and smiles about our teenage explorations and follies, memories of others and new visions for our lives emerging as middle-aged parents, some of us now with grown up children!
The rediscovery of all that companionship, put into focus by more than a generation of adulthood in between, filled me with the value of all that we had shared and played all those years ago".
Marguerite Wallis (Watts), 1972-1978
Marguerite and friends arranged their weekend to coincide with the Sidcotian Easter Reunion and you can too. The Reunion is the biggest event in the Sidcotian calendar with close to 200 old boys and girls and their families staying in the school's boarding houses over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. The event is organised by a small committee of Sidcotians and if you would like to get involved or find out more get in touch today. You can book your place through our event calendar today.
You don't have to wait 40 years to arrange your first reunion! Call or email to find out how we can support you in your efforts to catch up with old classmates, friends and teachers. We can help you get in touch, provide you with a venue and give you some assistance in identifying caterers and entertainment.
