Bursary and Scholarship Fund

Providing financial assistance to children who are unable to attend the school without such help is paramount to Sidcot. Being a small Quaker school we can offer a nurturing environment not often seen in either the state or private sectors. Our students leave the school as well rounded individuals who are a credit to the learning environment they have experienced.

Capital Projects

Refurbish the Quad

The Quad is a lovely outside space that is well used but would benefit from some refurbishment. Ideally we would like to pull up the tarmac and tiles and put down new paving. We would then either put in a piece of art of possibly a tree, and seating for the students to use. We have thought that it might work well as a peace garden which would complement the peace studies curriculum which is being initiated in the new academic year.

Extend Science Facilities

Science at Sidcot is incredibly important. We would like to be able to add an extension to the science block, which at present is not large enough to accommodate the number of students wishing to pursue science at higher levels. Many of our physics lessons have to take place in ordinary class rooms.

Grow the Forest School

We would like to further extend Forest School by building a log cabin which would be a teaching room and perhaps a bush craft skills centre at the beginning of the nature trail. We are in desperate need of more teaching space, especially as the school continues to grow. The cabin would be used by the school as well as local community groups and schools.

If you would like to make a donation to any or all of these projects you can do so online or by contacting the Development Office.
